Walnut

Deep chocolate brown with a rich grain. The classic choice for farewell and retirement pieces.

Hard maple

Pale, dense and smooth. Carved detail and engraving stand out crisp and clean.

Curly maple

Figured “tiger stripe” grain that shimmers under finish. A showpiece wood.

How you pay for woodwork

Three stages, so design time and materials are covered before work starts.

25%Design feePaid before design work starts. Non-refundable: it pays for design work performed.
25%Production startPaid when you approve the design, before materials are bought. Non-refundable.
50%Final balancePaid after you approve photos of the first finished piece, before delivery.

Example: a $400 walnut paddle is $100 to start the design, $100 to start production and $200 when you approve the finished piece.
